Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!...

Hey everyone,

I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving; I know I did! ;-) Here I'm posting all the recipes of the dishes we brought to the potluck this year; so you can make them too if you'd like! :-)

1. Turkey (My dad found this "special" brine recipe online that we used to make our turkey this year, and it actually turned out really yummy! We brined it for 24 hours and then cooked it in 3 batches in the pressure cooker.) Here's the brine recipe:

Turkey Brine Recipe

Ingredients:
2 lbs Light Grey Celtic Sea Salt
2 gallons apple juice
1 cup dried rosemary
1/2 cup dried oregano
3 bulbs garlic (crushed)
2 onions (sliced in half)
3 TBS black or red peppercorns
15 lb turkey (we actually used a 20 lb turkey and it still ended up being enough)

Directions:
In a large clean 5 gallon bucket, pour all brine contents and stir to combine. Add your turkey and allow to marinate for 24 hours. Cook turkey as you prefer.

2. Corn Casserole

3. Green Bean Casserole

4. Cranberry Sauce (We substituted the Grand Marnier that it calls for with the same amount of water.)

5. Honey Cornbread Muffins

6. White & Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies (We used the recipe on the back of the Nestle milk chocolate chip package. Putting 1/2 a package of milk chocolate chips along with 1/2 a package of white chocolate chips into the dough. Yummy!!!)

Now guess what we're going to have for dinner tonight? Yep, you guessed it--turkey, corn casserole, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce... :-)
