We had some oldish bananas we got at the produce stand a few days ago for really cheap. So today I thought I'd make some banana bread and share the recipe with you! ;)
The recipe I'm using comes out of a book called the "Natural Foods Cookbook" by Mary Estella.
Here's the recipe, (as you can tell, it's been well used):
I did substitute some of the liquid ingredients, but not the dry. I used honey instead of maple syrup and didn't use the Cafix (just the water).
#1 Sift dry ingredients together.
#2 Mash 2 banana's.
#3 Whisk wet ingredients together.
#4 Pour wet ingredients into the dry and whisk until combined. Add bananas and mix again.
#5 Grease the bread pan and pour in the batter.
#6 Bake in the oven at 375* for about 35-45 min. Let cool in pan at least 5 min. before removing.
Enjoy a warm slice with some butter and honey! (These are pics of Laree's and my plate) ;) Mmmm...
